The Institute will be hosting its seventh triennial conference this fall at the Redemptorist Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupre, Quebec, Canada. Participants are welcome to arrive for the evening of September 27. The sessions of the conference will take place during the 28th and 29th. Departures are scheduled after an early Mass and breakfast on Friday, September 30th. The theme for this year's conference is "Redemptorist Ministry on the Margins" and speakers will explore how the Redemptorists in North America have reached out to folks on the church's periphery through ministry with the deaf, orphans, addicts, and immigrants. There will also be a session looking at the Redemptorists' movement to the edges of a new American empire in Puerto Rico following the Spanish American War. Of course, since we are meeting at one of the most important pilgrimage sites in North America, we will also get a thorough tour and introduction to the Shrine and its ministry. For further details, check out the conference brochure. Sign up soon, because space is limited.
The Institute for Redemptorist Historical Studies - North America (IRHS-NA) is devoted to the study and promotion of the Redemptorist Heritage in North America.
